I was born on July 10 On a saturday Night at about 9pm. Was very ill when I was a child hence I was given some tiny facial marks. God has been very kind to me and as a result, I have decided never to bow to any man nor gods. I ,read Microbiology in ABU zaria and graduated with a second class upper degree at the age of 20. Records has show I was the youngest graduate in my set. This is inspite of having been one of the most popular students in school.

The Feeling of been wanted!

I have got this engagement in a pharmaceutical organisation that everybody beleives is incredible and hard-to-come-by, and i devote my complete self and skillset in total dedication to delivering the business results. The key person i report will tell people (Always behind my back:)) i am a great guy but internally make me know that i am still a beginner. Now she has my resignation letter, she is in tears asking me to change my stance and take a promotion and huge increase. Senior folks such as directors of finance, IT, Legal have been co-opted to talk me into re-considering... In life, I have learnt that occasional conditional posturing doesnt make people treat you with more kindness,...they only get what they need and then expand your sorrounding-of-inconvenience so that you become more reliant/dependednt on them for the mid to long term career and life improvenements....God help you if you do not get other options! Not sure I can allow things get to that stage. Every other stakeholder tell me I am doing great, at least to the extent of what i have been involved with in the short time I have spent with them, some even say they never had so good. The 2 MD's in the company have personally asked that I reconsider my stance but its coming a little late. In truth, I am humbled to summarise that I HAD MADE AN IMPACT ON THIS ORGANISATION...albeit short-lived; the funny thing is that this impact is been measured with different yardsticks and I cannot stay around for a longer while to begin to change any notion they may have about me, my work style, my attitude and my thinking! On this note, I bid myself farewell to my beloved Pharma company...and BON VOYAGE to myself on this exciting first national management role in supply chain of a major multinational. To all members of staff of GSK Nigeria, I pray it keeps getting better. To all my new friends I have made, lets make it stronger for the coming future. I will be missed around here... In my heart is where all of you great folks reside... who knows... I may just be like our lord and saviour JESUS...''In a little while, you will not see me...and in another little while, you will see me again!!! A decade is like a split second in the sight of God. Just like in all Nigerian home videos...it may just turn out to be a case of ''Watch out for part II''!!! Joseph Onuorah MBA(Ibadan), MCIPS(UK)
